Pow Wows

Pow Wow's are the Native American people’s way of meeting together, to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships and make new ones. This is a time to renew the culture and preserve a rich heritage of American Indians. Pow wows are different from other remaining ceremonial gatherings. There are some restrictions that involve being apart of a Pow Wow. You must be from the tribe, you can not be white, and you can not be a female. The dancers perform in extraordinary customs, very colorful and layered with designs from feathers and animal skins.
